東京拠点のロック・バンドbedと渋谷のベニュー・clubasiaによるパーティ『bedroom』が8月26日（土）に開催される。
bedは2022年初頭に本格始動。そこからライブを重ねるごとに評判を高め、わずか1年足らずで渋谷WWW Xでの主催パーティ『SLEEPWELL』をソールドアウトさせた。『bedroom』は今年2月に初開催し、1回目は300人以上、2回目は約400人を動員し、エキサイティングなクラブ・カルチャーをロック・バンドが捉えたクロスオーバー・スタイルで注目を集めている。

コロナ禍の影響もあり、現在クラブシーンは転換期を迎えている。肉体的でトリップ感のあるダンスミュージックの旋風は、クラブの営業が安定しない時期が長かった中で、オープンエアのレイブが発展したこともその一因だろう。多くの人々が自己を見つめ直したことによりやりたいことの純度が高まり、DIYパーティーの水準も劇的にアップした。また、10年代後半あたりから、既存のジャンルやカルチャーがクロスオーバーすることで枠を飛び出し、ポストジャンルと言える新たな概念/感覚が生まれ、近年そのムーブメントがネクストフェーズに入っていることも見逃せない。
そんな時代の流れと時を同じくしてライブ活動を始めた我々bedは、ロックバンドとしてテクノやハウス、トランス、サイケデリック、アンビエントなどの様々なジャンル/文脈に共通項を見出し、クラブとライブハウスを横断することで、独自の存在感を放ってきた自負がある。そんな我々とクラブシーンのアップデートの一翼を担ってきたclubasiaが掲げる新世代のためのパーティー、それがこの『bedroom』だ。ここで言う“新世代”とは年齢のことではない。停滞や退屈を拒むすべての人たちに、圧倒的な今を体感しほしい。
The pandemic has brought urban club life to a crossroads. Perhaps the visceral, trippy tempests of today’s dance music, winds of change brought by years of uncertainty in the nightlife world and subsequent shifts to outdoor raves, were what blew it here. And as many of us had the time, if not the choice, to take a good, long look at ourselves, we have come to seek greater purity in and deeper meaning from our leisure. The benchmark for pop- ups and private parties has been pushed higher. Genres and labels vaporized in the heady cultural crucible of the late 2010s, and we now find ourselves in a post-genre world. We cannot turn away from this newest face of the zeitgeist. bed was born just as this flux roiled forth. We tie together techno, house, trance, psychedelic, and ambient sound, and have cut a path through clubs and concert halls alike to assert ourselves as a rock band and as artists. We and our friends at club asia, a vanguard of the new club scene, now come together to bring you bedroom, a space for a new generation. Not one marked by days or years, but one for all spirits that reject stagnation and stillness. Come to bedroom, and bask in the overpowering furor of the now.
