  Friendly Fires、カムバック・シングル「Love Like Waves」のMVが公開

  今夏“SUMMER SONIC 2018”への出演も決定しているFriendly Firesが、久方ぶりのカムバック・シングルとして4月に発表した「Love Like Waves」のMVが公開された。 Friendly Firesは2011年にリリースした2ndアルバム『Pala』以降アルバムのリリースはなく、「Love Like Waves」は2014年にリリースされたAndrew Weatherall率いるThe Asphodellsとのコラボ・シングル『Before Your Eyes / Velo』以来の新曲となる。 この度公開されたMVは、The KillersやGorillaz、The Rolling StonesなどのMV、映像を手がけるGiorgio Testiがディレクションを担当している。

  Friendly Firesがカムバック　来年4月にロンドン・O2アカデミーにて復帰ライブを開催

  Friendly Firesが2018年4月5日にO2ブリクストン・アカデミーでショウを行うことが発表された。 本公演は英国では2012年ぶりの開催されるFriendly Firesのライブとなり、同ヴェニューでのライブは2011年に行われた4日連続公演ぶりとなる。 なお、復帰ライブは決定したが、気になる新作などについての情報は未だ何も発表されていないが、SNSに投稿された動画では、新曲の断片と思われるサウンドを聴くことができる。 Friendly Firesは2011年リリースの2ndアルバム『Pala』以来正式なリリースはないが、Friendly Fires and The Asphodells名義で2014年にコラボ・シングル『Before Your Eyes / Velo』をリリースしている他、フロントマンのEd Macfarlaneはデジタル黎明期であった80年代の未発表シンセ・サウンドトラックを集めたコンピレーション・アルバム『Glistens』をリリースしている。 また、バンドは 先日Facebookに謎のカバー動画と画像をポストし(https://spincoaster.com/news/friendly-fires-post-mysterious-movie-and-image-on-facebook) 、何かしらの動きがあることを示唆していた。 （ via.The Lines Of Best Fit(https://www.thelineofbestfit.com/news/latest-news/friendly-fires-are-back-with-news-of-a-huge-london-show) ）
