Wizzardウィザード
60'sを代表するブリティッシュ・ロック・バンド、ムーヴを解散させたロイ・ウッドは、ジェフ・リンと共にELOを結成するも、１stアルバムに参加しただけで脱退。その後、ソロ活動と併行するカタチで、８人編成のロック・バンド、ウィザードを始動させる。73年に１stアルバム『Wizzard Brew』と２nd『See My Baby Jive』をリリース。フィル・スペクターを思わせる重厚かつポップなサウンド・プロダクションが話題を呼び、ELOに勝るとも劣らない成功を手中にした。また、「Ball Park Incident」「I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday」「Rock 'N' Roll Winter」などシングル・ヒットも数多く放っている。翌74年には、最高傑作として名高い『Eddie&The Falcon』を発表。75年に解散した。
