    コロラド州を本拠とするオルタナティヴ・フォーク・ロック・グループ。87年の結成以来、地道な活動を続けており、熱狂的ファンも数多くいるようだ。。96年、『Outpost』でメジャー・デビュー。フォーク、ジャム・ロックからレゲエまで、ルーツ音楽へのリスペクトがにじみでたコクのあるバンド・アンサンブルが魅力。しかし、単なる焼き直しではなくポスト・ロック的な精神性が随所に垣間見れ、一筋縄ではいかない風情を宿している。そういう意味では初期R.E.M.もしくはポリスなんかに近い匂いを放つ。
