    THE SHAKESザ・シェイクス

    "復活"といっていいだろう。10年近くの活動を経て92年に活動休止してしまったTHE SHAKESが、00年にアルバム『OOH LA LA』を発表した。その初期こそビート・ロック（な、懐かしい響きだ）の範疇で語られていたが、基本はブルージーなロックンロール。ここでも、ローリング・ストーンズ〜フェイセスばりのパーティー・チューンからメランコリックなバラードまで、ロックの王道を行くナンバーがズラリと並ぶ。ブランクを感じさせない歌／演奏に、オールド・ファンも草葉の陰で喜んでいることだろう。
