    シンガー・ソングライターのPaul K。腹の底から振り絞るような歌唱が実に魅力的だ。80年代後半から、アメリカやヨーロッパの様々なレーベルを渡り歩いたというベテランだけに、シンプルなカントリー・ロックながら含蓄ある演奏を聴かせてくれる。ドラック中毒→刑務所生活→ホームレスというハードな人生を送ってきただけに、歌の説得力もハンパじゃなく、一声発すれば、その世界に聴く者を引きずり込んでしまう。
    また、彼はよくブルース・マンに例えられるが、その音楽性にはブルースの間接的な影響しか窺えない。しかし、歌声がもっている悲しみや侘しさは間違いなくブルースの精神を継承しているといえるだろう。そんな中でも98年にリリースされたアルバム『Wilderness Of Mirrors』は、間違いなく最高傑作。彼の人生のサウンドトラック的作品に仕上がった。なお最近ではゴシック・ブルース・バンド「Devil In A Woodpile」のアルバムにも参加している。
