    North Mississippi Allstarsノース・ミシシッピ・オールスターズ

    新世代ブルース・ジャム・バンド、ノース・ミシシッピ・オールスターズは“オールスターズ”と言いつつも、構成員はルーサー（g＆vo）とコーディ（dr）のディッキンソン兄弟に、クリス・チュウ（b）を加えた３名。ちなみにディキンソン兄弟は、かのローリング・ストーンズのプロデューサーであり、ライ・クーダーと仕事をしたこともあるジム・ディキンソンの子供達でもある。南部の香り漂うブルースの伝統を継承しながら、エッジの効いた現在進行形の音楽を演奏しているのが彼らだ。また、ロバート・ランドルフやジョン・メデスキらとザ・ワードなるバンドを結成したり、ジョン・ハイアットのアルバムに参加したりなどサイド・ワークも活発である。最新アルバム『エレクトリック・ブルー・ウォーターメロン 』ではジョン・メイヤーとの共演曲も収録されている。
