    Ladytronレディトロン

    魅惑のグリッター・エレクトロ・ユニット、レディトロン。リバプールにて結成された４人組である。ペコペコ打ち込み＆チープ・シンセ音＆英国女性ヴォーカル……とくれば、キャンディ・ポップな音を想像するかもしれないが、このバンド全く甘くない。よく聴くとキック音がメチャメチャ硬いし、ヴォーカルに感情が微塵も感じられない（この点ヤング・マーブル・ジャイアンツ期のアリソン・スタットンを想起させる）。非常に無機質な音世界なのだ。オリエンテッドなメロディやきらびやかなギミックの数々はまさに80年代テイスト。時代錯誤？　いや新世紀にこそふさわしいエレ・ポップを完遂しているのである。
    00年に米＜エンペラーノートン＞より１stアルバム『604』を発表している。
