    伝説的ブルースの王者ジョッシュ・ホワイトの息子、ジョッシュ・ホワイト・ジュニアはすでに４才のころから音楽界で活躍していた。62年に大学のキャンパスなどでヒットした「ドゥー・ユー・クローズ・ユア・アイズ」は、今でもライヴカフェあたりで人気のレパートリーだろう。そのブルース調の歌はソウルに満ち、豊かでアーシーな匂いのするヴォーカルがなんともいえない。彼のギターも父親同様ソフトなピッチで、音楽をアコースティックに彩る。ジョッシュ・ホワイト・ジュニアの『子供のための音楽』の中にピーター、ポール＆マリーなど往年のフォークの名曲が入ってるのを発見して、うれしくなった親たちも多いのでは？
