    リッチー・ホウティンのデビュー当初からの相棒、ジョン・アクアヴィヴァ。彼が所有するスタジオにおいて、テクノ史を大きく塗り替えるアシッド・テクノの実験は開始された。ちなみに、ジョンはF.U.S.E.の初期メンバーとしても知られる。
    彼主宰のレーベル＜Plus 8＞、今は無き＜Probe＞＜Definitive＞ を介して出世したアーティストは数知れず。リッチー・ホウティンを筆頭に、ケニー・ラーキン／DBX／スピーディＪ／イアン・プーリー／クリス・サティンジャーなど、秀才が名を連ねる。90年代、自身は作曲にはほとんど携わらず、エンジニア／プロデューサー／DJとして活躍。Plastikman『Sheet One』、Vapourspace『Themes From Vapourspace』（94年）やミックスCDなどを手掛けた。しかし、最近になってトラック・メイカーとしても本格的な活動を開始させた模様。——00年に敢行された、リッチー・ホウティンとの約３ヶ月間に及ぶ世界ツアー＜Plus 8 Tour 2000＞は大成功！　ロングミックスがウリのナイスなメガネオヤジ。
