    Axe Riverboyアックス・リヴァーボーイ

    日本でも高い人気を誇るフランス産ポップ・ロック・バンド、タヒチ80。そのフロントマンであるグザヴィエ・ボワイエによるソロ・プロジェクトが、このアックス・リヴァーボーイである（ユニット名は「グザヴィエ・ボワイエ」のアナグラム）。
    07年５月に１stアルバム『チュ・チュ・トゥ・タンゴ』をリリース。発売前には、近年エレクトロ色を強めていたタヒチ80本体と連動した作風になるかとの予想もあったが、実際に蓋を開けてみると、バンド初期を思わせるアコースティックでシンプルな楽曲が並ぶという意外な作品になった。とは言ってもそこはタヒチ80のフロントマン、随所でひねりを加えたアプローチが光る、一筋縄では行かないサウンドを見せている。もちろん、グザヴィエの魅力溢れる優しい歌声と美メロもたっぷり堪能できる。
