    Tony De Vitトニー・デ・ヴィット

    トニー・デ・ヴィット——ロンドンのゲイ・クラブ＜Trade＞にて華麗なDJプレイを披露し、数多くのフォロワーを生んだワープ・ハウス／ニュー・エナジーの神である。
    78年にDJ活動を開始。95〜98年まで＜Trade＞にてレジデンシーを務め、ラジオ局＜Kiss FM＞でも活躍。ハード・ハウス→ハンド・バッグ→ニュー・エナジーと、アップリフティングなトランス・サウンドをDJによって進化させ、"ワープ・ハウス"というスタイルを確立した。プロデューサーとしても驚異的な手腕を発揮し、「Burning Up」「To The Limit」は97年に全英でヒットを記録。その卓越した選曲と構成、DMCチャンプにも輝いたテクニックは日本でも絶大な人気を博し、ハッピー系DJがこぞって敬意を表わした。しかし、人気が頂点に達した98年、気管支肺炎のため逝去。40歳という若さだった。
    彼の神業的超絶プレイは『Tony De Vit:Live In Tokyo』（97年）に刻み込まれている。
