THE RAKESザ・レイクス
Alan Donohoe（vo）、Jamie Hornsmith（b）、Lasse Petersen(dr)、Matthew Swinnerton(g&vo)の４人をメンバーとする、ロンドンで結成されたロック・バンド、ザ・レイクス。そのポスト・パンク的なサウンドが巷の話題となり、注目が集まるなかリリースされた３rdシングル「リトリート」は、UKヒット・チャートにおいて24位を記録し国内で確固たる地位を確立。05年にリリースされた１stアルバム『キャプチャー／リリース』は日本のUKキッズの心を鷲掴みにし、同年のサマーソニックにも出演し話題となった。07年には２ndアルバム『テン・ニュー・メッセージズ』を発表、アークティック・モンキーズらとの仕事で知られるジム・アビスと、プライマル・スクリームなどを手がけたブレンダン・リンチがプロデュースを担当。より研ぎ澄まされたサウンドを聴かせている。
