    数多くの良質なパンク／メロコア・バンドを輩出し続け、今や絶大なる支持を獲得するに至ったレーベル＜Epitaph＞。その第１号アーティストとして、96年に『THE LITTLE DEATH』で登場したのがRuth Ruthだ。彼らは、ハスカー・ドゥやピクシーズからの影響が色濃い、アタックの効いたギターを核とするアグレッシヴなナンバーで高い人気を得た。その後＜RCA＞から『Are You My Friend』（98年）、＜American＞より『Laughing Gallery』（99年）を発表。ますますメロディック度を高めている。
