    アメリカン・ハード・コア・シーンいちのマッチョ豪傑、ヘンリー・ロリンズ（vo）が、ブラック・フラッグ解散後にソロ・プロジェクトとして始めたのがロリンズ・バンドだ。極限まで贅肉を削ぎ落とした彼の肉体同様、重量感たっぷりでソリッドなハード・コア・サウンドを展開する。「言葉」の意義に重点を置き咆哮されるロリンズのヴォーカルと、彼の旧友でもあるクリス・ハスケットの超技巧的ギター・プレイの絡みは実に絶妙。唾や汗がしきりに飛び交う感じは、まさにハード・コアのもつ一体感を如実に顕現しているのではないだろうか。———俳優としてもその身体に似合わずお茶目な一面を垣間見せているロリンズ。また、00年に発表された初セルフ・プロデュース作品『ゲット・サム・ゴー・アゲイン』では、バックにヘヴィ・ロック・バンド“Mother Superior”を迎え、ハード＆ヘヴィな電流をバリバリ流しながら、轟音をブッ放している。——そう、"ロリンス道"に終わりはないのだ。
