    マーク・ボランが在籍していたことでも知られたビート・バンドだが、ヤードバーズを手掛けたことで有名な敏腕マネージャー、サイモン・ネピア・ベルによって“作られた”グループでもある。メンバーの音楽的技量に？が残るところもあるが、R&Bを基調にしつつ当時流行のサイケデリックを取り入れ、ワイルドに展開していくサウンドは、今聴いても単純にカッコいい。
    特筆すべきは「But She's Mine」。ザ・フーの「キャント・エクスプレイン」をそのまま拝借したこの曲では、ゲスト参加したジェフ・ベックのギターが暴れまくる。必聴!!
