    94年に、デヴィッド・バーンの主宰する＜ルアカ・バップ＞からデビューした西海岸の男性デュオ。マルチ・プレイヤーである２人、グレッグ・カースティンとトミー・ジョーダンからなる。
    １stアルバム『Grand Opening』では、サンプラーやアナログ・シンセなどを駆使した宅録によるストレンジ・ポップを展開。全編を太いファンク・ビートが貫いており、編集／カット＆ペーストが多用された作品ながらも、陽のあたらないインドア特有のひ弱さは感じられない。そして、同傾向の２ndを経てリリースされたのが01年の『Into the Oh』。これが21世紀型のブルー・アイド・ソウル・スタイルを呈示した傑作となった。いままで同様の録音手法を基本にしながらも、マーヴィン・ゲイやビル・ウィザースのバックを務めたソウル界の名ドラマー、ジェームズ・ギャドソンをゲストに迎え、より肉感的なグルーヴを取り入れることに成功。また、これまで出された３枚のアルバム全てにプロデュースで関わっているのが、全盛期のプリンスのエンジニアとして有名なスーザン・ロジャース。これらの事実からも、このユニットが目指している音楽性というものが、見えてくるというもの。
