    最近メアリー・J.ブライジやモニカが「Misty Blue」をカヴァーしたことによって俄かに注目を集めるドロシー・ムーア。サザン・ソウルの名門＜マラコ＞から76年にデビューを果たしたレディ・ソウル・シンガーである。カントリー畑のジェイムス・ストラウドがプロデュースを手掛けたデビュー作『Misty Blue』からは、前述の表題曲や「Funny How Time Slips Away」のヒットが生まれ、一躍彼女の名前を広めた。
    その後も南部を思わせるゴスペル・バラード調のサウンドにのって滑らかな歌唱を聴かせ、ディスコやブラコン旺盛の時代でもカントリー・ソウルにこだわった音楽性を貫いた。現在はゴスペル・シンガーとして活動中だ。
