「リンガー」「ドリームス」など数々のヒット曲を世に送り出したアイルランド出身のロック・バンド、クランベリーズ。その女性ヴォーカリストだったドロレス・オリオーダンが、バンド解散後初のソロ・アルバム『アー・ユー・リスニング？』（07年）をリリースした。クランベリーズのラスト・アルバム『ウェイク・アップ・アンド・スメル・ザ・コーヒー』（01年）から数えると、なんと６年ぶりに聴くこととなるドロレスの歌声だが、かつての彼女の幻想的かつ魅惑的な魅力を湛えたそのヴォーカリゼーションは見事健在。また、サウンド自体もギター・ポップを基本としたキャッチーかつ聴かせる仕上がりで、かつてのクランベリーズのファンの期待も裏切ることはない。アイルランドを代表する歌姫のシーン本格復帰を告げる充実作である。
