    Westside Connectionウェストサイド・コネクション

    ウェッサイの“悪役商会”ラッパーたちで結成されたウエストサイド・コネクション。感情を激しくぶつける“いつ見ても怒り顔”のアイス・キューブ、トラックに絡みつくような粘り気あるフロウを披露する“キューブの子分”マック10（TLCのT・ボズのダンナさんでもある。05年現在離婚調停中）、滑舌の良い言葉運びが特徴の“スキン・ヘッド”WCの３人がそのメンバーだ。その三者三様にしてチンピラの脅しのごとき迫力のあるラップに、オシッコをチビリそうになったのはひとりやふたりじゃないはず。加えて、コンクリートのように硬いビートや全開ブリブリのベース音、Gファンクのオハコである不気味なシンセ音など、攻撃の手を緩めることのない楽曲群に、我々は白旗を上げるしかない。
    そんな彼らが03年に実に７年ぶりとなる２nd『テロリスト・スレッツ』をリリースし、ウェッサイ・ハードコアの在り方を世間に改めて示した。まだまだ現役のヴェテラン猛者ラッパーたちである。
