    Venus Peterヴィーナス・ペーター

    フリッパーズ・ギターと並ぶ、日本初のネオアコ／ギターポップ・バンド、ヴィーナス・ペーター（90〜94年）。現インディアン・ロープの沖野俊太郎（vo&g）、名門インディー・レーベル＜K.O.G.A＞の古閑社長（b）が在籍していたことでも知られている。
    かのオシャレTV番組『ファッション通信』のオープニング・ナンバー「Every Planets Sons」が収録された２ndアルバム『SPACE DRIVER』（94年）は、誰がなんと言おうと名盤である。“〜っぽい”とか“〜に似てる”とか、どうでもいい。90年代初頭に、これほどまでセンスのある見識眼をもったグループが、フリッパーズと彼ら以外にいただろうか。ストーン・ローゼス／プライマル・スクリーム／ペイル・ファウンテンズなど先鋭的かつスタイリッシュなUKギターバンドのテイストをいち早く導入した、という点は、当時あまりにも画期的であった。
