    断固としたオリジナル・パンク・バンドとしてUKサブスは70年代後半から80年代にかけて、英国のハードエッジ・パンクを作り上げた。パンクの憤りにさらなる苦悩と怒りを注入したUKサブス。激怒するギター／アドレナリンに満ちた爆裂ドラム／カミソリのようなチャーリー・ハーパーのヴォーカルで大暴れした。３分間前後の曲、大合唱を駆り立てるコーラス、思わず拳を振り上げたくなるようなサウンドは、パンク・ロックの真髄と言えるだろう。今日もハーパー爺さんは老体に鞭打ち現役を続けている。偉い！
