    夏はやっぱり、シュガー・レイだ！
    95年にアルバム『レモネード・アンド・ブラウニーズ』でデビューを果たした、カリフォルニアはオレンジ・カウンティ出身の５人組。彼らの魅力は、ロック／パンク／メタル／グランジ／ヒップホップ／レゲエ……など、さまざまな音楽スタイルを享受した素晴らしくキャッチーで爽快なサウンドだ。その圧倒的なパワーと陽気なカリスマ性には圧倒されずにいられないだろう。
    97年に発表した「Fly」とこの曲を収録した２ndアルバム『FLOORED』が世界的な大ヒットを記録。その後映画『ファーザーズ・デイ』にシュガー・レイとして出演したり、雑誌にセクシーな男性有名人として紹介されるなどルックスも人気となっている。07年にはサマーソニック出演のため来日するなど、相変わらず精力的な活動を続けている。
