Sonny Terryソニー・テリー
音楽一家に生まれた盲目のソニー・テリーは自分の食いぶちを稼ぐためにハーモニカの吹き方を学び、その結果、広く愛される（それ以上に広く模倣されたであろうと思われる）独自のサウンドを創りあげたのだった。テリーは長い間、ブラウニー・マギーとともに活動し、50年代後半に始まったフォーク・ミュージック再発見の動きに乗ったのだった。アーシーなアコースティック・ブルースは聴衆を魅了し、また彼が吹くハーモニカは世界でも屈指の美しさを誇る。それは緻密に織りなされ、野趣にあふれ、絶えず他の楽器とのやりとりを行っているのだ。彼のトレードマークである高音の金切り声は、まるで意志とは無関係のようにフレーズの合間で発せられ、それは数限りないミュージシャンたちが真似している。テリーの音楽は素朴ながらも、地に足がついた本物の風格をもっている
