    02年にデビューした女流シンガー・ソングライター。アコースティックを基調としたアーシーな音楽性を志向することから、ポスト・シェリル・クロウの最右翼とみられる有望株だ。デビュー作にあたる『Jukebox Sparrows』では、ジム・ケルトナー／ジェームス・ギャドソン／ベルモンド・テンチといった名うてのベテラン勢にバックに、ブルースやカントリー、R&Bに根差したサウンドを聴かせてくれる。かといって老成しているわけではなく適度にポップな味つけができるあたりに、この娘の可能性が隠されている。ルーツ・ロック・マニアのアイドルになるのではなく、広くポップ・フィールドで活躍して欲しい才能だ。
