    70年代男性デュオ・ブームの先駆けとなった、ジム・シールズとダッシュ・クロフツからなる２人組。
    一般的に彼らは単なるフォーク・ロック・デュオと捉えられがちだが、その音楽性には、さまざまなエッセンスが含まれている。どこか湿り気を帯びたハーモニー／中近東風のメロディ／マウンテン・ミュージックの香りを運ぶシールズのフィドルとクロフツのマンドリン／ペルシャの新興宗教バハイの教えに基づく示唆に富んだ歌詞……といった要素の１つ１つが、底知れぬ深みと旨みを与え、他にはない唯一無二のサウンドを抽出している。そして、根底にはブラック・フィーリングが流れているという事実は、アイズレー・ブラザーズが「Summer Breeze」をカヴァーしたことでも証明済みだろう。他にも、エスニックな「Hummingbird」、AORのハシリともいえる「Diamond Girl」など、数々の秀逸なナンバーを残している。
