    Scrapper Blackwellスクラッパー・ブラックウェル

    リロイ・カーの相棒ギタリストとして余りにも有名。カーのピアノにメロウな単弦奏法で絡み、20〜30年代に数々の名ブルースを残したことはブルース・ファンにとっては常識だが、ソロ作ともなると後のロバート・ジョンソンやビッグ・ビル・ブルーンジーなどに影響を与える、親指で複数の弦をハジくような奏法を披露する。ある意味、ロニー・ジョンソンと双璧をなす戦前ブルースの重要人物だ。
    カーの死後は引退してしまうが、58年に再発見されアルバムも残している。
