    Remy Zeroレミー・ゼロ

    このオルタナティヴ・ロック軍団が結成されたのは、80年代終盤、アラバマ州バーミンガムでのことだった。メンバーは、シンジュン・テイト（vo&g）とシェルビー・テイト（g&vo）を中心とした５人編成。テイト兄弟のホーム・スタジオで作成したデモ・テープがきっかけとなり、94年には大メジャーのゲフィンと契約するまでになる。96年にリリースされた１st『Remy Zero』は、UKシューゲイザーの先駆者マイ・ブラッディー・ヴァレンタインやUKロックの大本命レディオヘッドの影響が濃い、轟音ギター・ロック・アルバムに仕上がった。近年では、USインディー・バンド、ポルヴォのようなアンチ・ロックスター的なサウンドを取り入れ、いい具合のヘタれ感をも勝ち取っている。
