    日本ではDJ KOU-G a.k.a. GROOVEMAN SPOTが鮮烈なリミックス・ワークを施したことでも広く知られる、アンダーグラウンド・クラシック曲「サイクルズ」。それを創ったのが、エレクトリック、７L＆エソテリック、ミスター・リフらを育んだ土地ボストンが誇るアングラ系ラップ・デュオ＝ロウ・プロデュースである。
    彼らのサウンドは、正しく「かつてネイティヴ・タン勢が率いたニュースクール・ムーヴメントを模範にする、ジャジーでレイドバックしているが、ちょっと捻くれた遊び心を存分に内包するサウンド」（長くてスミマセン）という感じ。ソロ作も発表している片割れ＝カデンスのラップも、ニュースクールかつイースト・アングラ製らしいコンシャスな内容だ。スターヴィング・アーティスツ・クルーにしろマス・インフルエンスにしろローン・カタリスツにしろジャイアント・パンダにしろPUTSにしろ２フォー５にしろオール・ナチュラルにしろファクターにしろ、そして彼らにしろ、USでは一部の好事家を除いてほぼシーンのリスナーから無視されているらしいだが、ここ日本では、マイルドでノスタルジックで流麗なテイストの彼らの音色は、ことさら大きな反響を生む。ロウ・プロデュース、なぜだか彼らも大人気です。ぼくも好きです。
