    Naturally 7ナチュラリー・セヴン

    人間の声でパーカッションを表現する“ヒューマン・ビート・ボックス”に注目が集まっている中、新たな新星が登場！　それがNaturally 7（ナチュラリー・セブン）。ニューヨークをベースに活動する７人組で、全員がゴスペル・スクール／聖歌隊育ち。テナーのロジャーとパーカッションのウォーレンからなるトーマス兄弟を中心に結成された。ある日、リード・ヴォーカルのガーフィールドが“口ハーモニカ”を披露したことから、他のメンバーも様々な楽器にトライ、いつの間にか声だけで全てを表現するグループに成長。その実力はあっという間に認められ、世界各国でCDをリリースしている。日本では04年にデビュー・アルバム『what is it?』をリリース、テレビ番組『たけしの誰でもピカソ』に出演、一躍脚光を浴びた。また、あえて単独レーベルと契約せず世界各国で異なったレコードレーベルと契約、独立系アーティストとしてのこだわりをみせているところが面白い。ゴスペル・スクールで鍛えたハーモニーの素晴らしさはもちろん、ヒューマン・ビート・ボックスとして観客を沸かすショウ・アップの才能も豊か。いわゆるオーソドックスなコーラス・グループの枠を越え、R&Bやヒップ・ホップも飲み込んだサウンドは要チェックである。
