    Mojave 3モハーヴィ・スリー

    90年代初頭のイギリスにおいて、轟音ノイズやフィードバックを多用した音で、ギター・バンドの新たなスタイルを提示したシューゲイザー・シーン。同じ道を歩んでいた１グループでもある、スローダイヴのニール・ハルステッドとレイチェル・ゴスウェルを中心として結成されたのが、モハーヴィ３だ。前身バンドの音作りからは遠くかけ離れた場所に位置する楽曲は、カントリーやフォーク、ブルースなどの要素をあしらった、まどろみを帯びたものである。また、濃い陰影のついたムードは、マジー・スターといったバンドと共通のスタンスを強く感じさせる。
