    Larry Davisラリー・デイヴィス

    人気／知名度という点では、B.B.とアルバートの両キング、リトル・ミルトンなどに後塵を拝すが、このラリー・デイヴィスも忘れられないモダン・ブルースマンである。
    50年代より音楽活動をスタートし、58年の「Texas Flood」（後にスティーヴィー・レイ・ヴォーンがカヴァー）がヒット。しかし60〜70年代とマイナー・レーベルを渡り歩き、一時は引退状態に陥るが、旧友アルバート・キングのバックアップもあって81年に復活を果たす。それ以降は、ベテランらしい円熟味のあるブルースで快作を連発した。——94年に癌により他界。
