Jo Staffordジョー・スタッフォード
20年、カリフォルニア州生まれ。高校卒業後に、白人ジャズ・コーラス・グループの草分け、パイド・パイパーズに加入し、その後フランク・シナトラで有名なトミー・ドーシー楽団の専属歌手として活躍。そして44年に独立してからは"トランペット・ヴォイス"と称されたエモーショナルな歌声でスターへの階段を登って行き、50年代に黄金時代が到来する。「You Belong to Me」や「On London Bridge（霧のロンドン・ブリッジ）」など現在も歌い継がれるスタンダードを始め、ジャズ以外にもカントリーやトラディショナルなども取り上げ、ポピュラー歌手として広く受け入れられた。
