    98年にニューヨークで結成。ポール（vo&g）、ダニエル（g）、カルロス（b）、サム（dr）の４人組。00年から本格的なライヴ活動を始め、ベル・アンド・セバスチャンやアラブ・ストラップ、トレイル・オブ・デッドのオープニングを務める。00年末に、グラスゴーのレーベル＜ケミカル・アンダーグラウンド＞より初のEPを発表。02年には１stアルバム『ターン・オン・ザ・ブライト・ライツ』をリリースする（日本盤は03年７月にボーナス・トラックを追加して再発）。浮遊感溢れるサウンドとニューヨーク出身らしい卓越した美意識がメディア及び多くのリスナーから高い評価を受けている。
