    Golden Smogゴールデン・スモッグ

    ゴールデン・スモッグは、ソウル・アサイラム、リプレイスメンツ、ウィルコ、ジェイホークス、ラン・ウェスティー・ラン、ハニードッグス、ビッグ・スターの面々が集まり結成された。このスーパーグループは、オルタナティヴ・カントリーとウエスタンの系譜に位置し、ウィルコやジェイホークスによく似ている。しかし他のバンドとは異なり、メロディはずっと甘く優しくポップ調だ。さらに、ライヴでは70年代のラジオ・ヒット曲や友達の歌を、レゲエ風のロック・ジュークボックスのように流す。彼らの活動の根底には、楽しみながら作曲し、プレイしている様子がうかがえる。
