    AKB48から派生した音楽ユニット。コンセプトは“AKB48初のダンス＆ヴォーカルユニット”で、シックな衣装とクールかつスタイリッシュな楽曲、ダイナミックなダンスパフォーマンスが持ち味。メンバーは秋元才加、梅田彩佳、宮澤佐江（現SNH48）、粕谷聡子、二見夕貴、古河温子、福野来夢、山上綾加、井上結菜の９人。2011年５月に秋元、梅田、宮澤と増田有華による４人編成でデビューシングル「月の裏側」を発表。8月には２ndシングル「Cry」をリリースし、オリコンチャート２位を獲得。そして、同年12月開催の『AKB紅白対抗歌合戦』において一般公募により追加された６人を初お披露目した。2012年３月、３rdシングル「Lost the way」を発売。Type-Aには韓国のエンタテインメント『NANTA』日本公演公式応援ソング「悲しみのMirage」が収録された。同年12月にオリジナルメンバーであった増田がAKB48の活動を辞退。翌年１月にDiVAとしての活動を辞退すると発表した。同じく中心メンバーの1人であった秋元も、自身のブログでAKB48を卒業する旨を発表した。
