    72年、オーストラリア・ブリスベン出身のダレン・ヘイズ。ダニエル・ジョーンズとともに結成したサヴェージ・ガーデンのヴォーカリストとして活動後、解散を機に02年、満を持してソロ・デビューを果たした。
    02年３月にシングル「インセーシャブル」、アルバム『スピン』を発表。ロマンティシズムの芳香漂う美声はもちろん健在。さらに、ワイルドな男臭さも加味しつつ、セクシーな良質ポップ・ナンバーを繰り広げ、アダルトな魅力を打ち出した。
