  KID FRESINOやD.A.N.、蓮沼執太フィル等にスティールパン奏者として参加し、Black Boboiの活動や劇伴も手掛ける小林うてな。ソロ作のリリースを機に、多面的な表現の核に迫る【インタビュー連載・匠の人】

  シンガーソングライターとして、エレクトロユニット・Black Boboiのメンバーとして、濃厚な音楽像を持つ数々のアーティストをサポートするスティールパン奏者として。小林うてなという音楽家の顔はじつに多面的であると同時に、その独立した表現性の核にはインダストリアルな要素とプリミティブな要素の極自然な共存というポイントがあるように思う。3月末にUtena Kobayashi名義でリリースしたニューソロアルバム『6 roads』では、その現代的なトライブミュージックとしてのすごみと美しさが浮き彫りになっている。ちなみにこのアルバムは各楽曲の背景にある物語が呼応し、短編の連なりが長編を形成する性格を持っていることから、絵本も制作された。こういったクリエイティブのあり方も、小林うてなの音楽作品ならではの説得力がある。長野県原村の出身の彼女がどのような音楽人生軌跡を経て現在地に至ったのかを、じっくり語ってくれた。

  〈AiAiAi〉と〈Ninja Tune〉が初コラボ　リサイクル・ヴァイナル使用したヘッドホン発売

  デンマークのコペンハーゲンに本社を置くヘッドホン／イヤホン・メーカー〈AiAiAi〉と英レーベル〈Ninja Tune〉による初のコラボレーションが実現。新製品「TMA-2 Ninja Tune Edition」の発売が発表された。 1990年にMatt BlackとJonathan Moreによるユニット・Coldcutが設立し、日本でも人気の高いThe Cinematic OrchestraやBonobo、USで大ブレイク中のODESZA、最近ではBicepとBlack Country, New Roadが全英チャートでトップ5入りを果たすなど、ジャンルに括ることのない様々な音楽性を持ったアーティストを数々輩出し続ける〈Ninja Tune〉。そして2006年に設立、プロフェッショナルなミュージシャンや、プロダクト・デザイナーそして技術者との連携によってプレミアム製品の開発を専門とする〈AiAiAi〉。
