    Buster Brownバスター・ブラウン

    何といっても「Fannie Mae」が有名。映画『アメリカン・グラフィティ』でも使用されたので覚えている人も多いのではないだろうか？
    ハーピスト、バスター・ブラウンはジョージア州に生まれ、40年には国会図書館用に録音を行う。そして59年に大都会ニューヨークに上京。この時45歳だったというから驚きだが、その年に「Fannie Mae」 がポップ・チャートにも登場する大ヒット。豪放磊落な人柄がうかがえるラフな歌いっぷりとダウンホームなハープで人気を博した。
    76年にニューヨークのブルックリンで死去。
