    "丘サーファー"というのがいる。サーフィンやらないのにサーファー風の格好をしている輩だ。で、BMXバンディッツという"丘サーフィン・バンド"がいる。グラスゴーというハイ・ランド（北国）出身ながら、ビーチ・ボーイズみたいな音楽をやっている奴らだ。
    ノーマン・ブレイク（ティーンエイジ・ファンクラブ）やジョー・マカリンデン（スーパースター）といったグラスゴー・シーンの重鎮も在籍していたことがあり、御大ダグラス・スチュアート率いるBMXバンディッツはそういう連中の"憩いの場"的な存在といえよう。
    89年に１stアルバム『C86』をリリースし、そのたどたどしい演奏とホンワカしたヴォーカルでアノラック・バンドの旗頭として活躍（因みにC86とはアノラック・サウンドのムーヴメントを指している）。以降、スコティッシュ・バンドの中核を担うティーン〜やスーパースターとともに＜クリエイション＞に所属し、「太陽への憧れ」を感じさせる温もりあふれる美メロを数多く生み出してきた。
