Arthur "Big Boy" Crudupアーサー・ビッグ・ボーイ・クルーダップ
ロック・ファンにはエルヴィス・プレスリーがカヴァーした「That's All Right Mama」のオリジネイターとして有名。生まれも育ちもミシシッピだが、41年よりシカゴで本格的な吹き込みをスタートさせる。このとき36歳というから、かなりの遅咲き。しかし「Rock Me Mama」「If I Get Lucky」などのヒットを放ち、サザン・フィーリン溢れるブルースで人気を博した。その後もロカビリーにつながるバンド形態のロッキン・スタイルを取り入れたりしながら、74年に亡くなるまで現役で活動し続ける。甲高い歌声と"ヘタウマ"的なギターが魅力。
