    ファンキーかつミニマリスト的なそのスタイルによってハウス・ミュージック創生期に大きな役割を果たしたアルマンド。シーンに登場したときはまだ若干十代の少年だった。各方面から引っ張りだこのこの青年DJは80年代から90年代にかけてシカゴのナイトライフを盛り上げてきた。いまや古典となったいくつものトラックを世に送り出し、ダンス音楽産業のビジネス的側面を整備する点においても大きな役割を果たしてきたアルマンドの刺激的なプレーは後の英国アシッド・ハウスにまで飛び火することになる。
