    A.D.O.R.エー・ディー・オー・アール

    92年、ピート・ロックにフック・アップされるかたちでデビューしたニューヨーク出身のラティーノ（白人じゃないよね？）ラッパー、A.D.O.R.（Another Dimension of Rhythm、もしくはA Declaration of Revolutionの略称）。ハードコアかつギャングスタ的アティテュードを醸しつつも、どこかポップな側面を垣間見させるそのスタイルは、ホラー・コアと呼ばれていた頃のウータン・クランなどを想起させる。最近でいうと、ノン・フィクションのそれに近いかな？
    なかなかの快作『ショック・フレキュエンシー』（98年）以降もしぶとく（失敬）リリースを重ねてはいるが、はてさて、今後のA.D.O.R.はどこに向かっていくのか……元インテリジェント・フッドラムのトラジェディばりに、まったく出方が読めません。
