    10,000マニアックスは、90年代のアダルト・オルタナティヴ界で最も重要なバンドのひとつで、リリス・フェアー系アーティストの代表的存在だ。多才なナタリー・マーチャントをヴォーカルに立てた彼らは、シングル「ライク・ザ・ウェザー」で大ブレイク、ありとあらゆるラジオ局でオンエアされるに至った。そしてアルバム『イン・マイ・トライブ』と『ブラインド・マンズ・ズー』は感性豊かな若者の間で定番アルバムと化したのだ。しかし彼らの人気が最高潮に達した時、マーチャントが脱退、その後、彼女はソロ活動を開始し90年代のスティーヴィー・ニックス的な存在になっている。
