冨田 勲トミタ・イサオ

日本が誇る電子音楽界の巨匠、冨田勲。日本人で初めてモーグ・シンセサイザーを購入したことでも有名である。
慶応大学在学中に作曲活動を開始。映画／アニメ／ドキュメンタリー／イベント／舞台／学校教材／コマーシャル・ソングなど、膨大な数の作品を世に送り出す。70年代からは、シンセサイザーを主体とした作曲に逸早く着手。ドビュッシーのピアノ曲を電子音でシミュレートした『月の光』（72年）が、全米ビルボード・クラシカル・チャートで第１位となって以来、冨田の名は全世界で知られるようになった。
00年には、伝統楽器とフル・オーケストラのコラボレーションによる『源氏物語幻想交響絵巻』を発表。秀麗かつ荘厳な映像的音響世界が体感できる。
