スコーピオンズ、最新アルバム『Ret
urn To Forever』の豪華ツアー・エデ
ィションを発売
世界のハードロック・シーンの最高峰に君臨し、昨年は結成50周年という大きな節目の年を迎えたドイツの重心バンド、スコーピオンズ。結成50周年記念ワールド・ツアーを2016年も継続することを発表した彼らが、最新アルバム『Return To Forever』の豪華ツアー・エディションを発売することを明らかにした。
近年で最も活発な動きを展開しているスコーピオンズは、2月17日のウクライナを皮切りとするワールド・ツアーの続行を発表したばかり。今回、それにあわせた形で3月11日に『Return To Forever（Tour Edition）』を発売する。
この「ツアー・エディション」は、ボーナス・トラック7曲を追加収録したCDに加え、全米でのアルバム発売記念イベントとなった9月のニューヨーク公演と6月のフランス公演を完全収録したDVD2枚が同梱される3枚組の豪華パッケージ。DVDには、昨年の全米ツアー中に撮影されたドキュメンタリー映像「On The Road in America」、ミュージック・ビデオ「We Built This House」「Going Out With A Bang 」他、リリック・ビデオ、楽曲解説インタビュー（英語版、ドイツ語版共に収録）などもボーナス映像として収録されている。またアートワークも、オリジナル盤のデザインをベースにライヴ映像を収録したアメリカとフランスの国旗をあしらった特別仕様となっている。
15年3 月には、その50周年を記念した5年振りとなるオリジナル・アルバム『Return To Forever』（邦題『祝杯の蠍団～リターン・トゥ・フォエヴァー』を発表し、本国ドイツでのアルバム・チャート2位を始め世界各地で好セールスを記録。それと同時にスタートしたワールド・ツアーも各地軒並みソールドアウトとなり、見事に完全復活を果たした。また、彼らの黄金期である77～88年のアルバム8枚のデラックス・エディションを一挙リリースするなどファンにとっては嬉しいニュースの多い1年でもあったと言えるだろう。
