  Davidの身体を借りた聖母マリアが、いかにして罪人たちを赦したのか…。

  　Davidが、今年4月よりライブを通して描き続けてきた「旧約誓書」の物語。歩みゆく中、成すべき形を求めてきた成果が、9月16日(金)池袋EDGEを舞台にしたDavid 5th Anniversary Tour Final ONEMAN LIVE Day.1「旧約誓書-Mary’s Testament-」公演で、一つの答えを導き出した。 　フロア中に鳴り響く厳かな音色。そこには3人のシスターが佇んでいた。荘厳なる音へ導かれるように舞台へ姿を現すメンバーたち。シスターから手にした百合を高く掲げたDavidが「Messiah」と歌いだす。終わりを飾る物語は、本作を象徴する『Messiah -旧約-』から語られだした。幽玄な音を背に、張り裂けんばかりの想いを響かせるようにDavidは歌う。まるで世の憂いを嘆き、祈りを捧げるように。く彼が描き始めた救いの物語は、今宵、どんな調べを奏で続けるのだろうか…。 　Davidの心の揺れを、増幅するように轟く演奏。Davidの高く突き上げる拳にあわせ、フロア中からも突き上がる無数の拳。『Gothculture -Decadent Art-』を通し、今宵の儀式は、早くも心の調律を合わせだした。舞台の上で雄々しく想いを響かせるDavid。感情が荒ぶるたび、フロア中から高く突き上がる拳。さぁ、この勢いを胸に、この世に渦巻く黒い感情をすべて赤く焼き尽くせ!! 　Davidの身体を借り、想いを述べる聖母マリア。「ここは、わたしを信じた罪人たちが集まる崇高な場所。罪人たちの罪を赦し続けたわたしは、捕らわれ、今宵、眠りにつこうとしています。わたしに出来ることは、あなた達の見てきた過去も未来も、この身体すべてを持って赦し続けること。わたしのすべてを持ってあなた達を赦し、見守ってあげる」。 　果たして、運命とは定められていたものなのか。それに抗い、みずから運命を導くことで生まれる物語なのか。Davidは『Tarot』を歌いながら、ここに集いし罪人たちに「わたしを導いてよこの身体ごと全部」と問いかけていた。雄大な。でも、荒ぶる演奏に刺激を受け、みずからの気持ちを掻き立てるようにDavidは歌う。惑いながらも心理を求め歌う姿に心動かされた罪人たちが、手を揺らし、想いを返していた。 続く『Mage』でもDavidは、みずからを闇に閉じ込め、絶望の淵に立ち、生きることを確かめるように歌っていた。どの曲でも、そう。彼は嘆き、張り裂けんばかりの想いを叫ぶことで、みずから罪を背負い続けていた。
